Our visit to Meiji’s Doggie Paradise with 900kg of dogfood in tow

The lorry arrived at exactly 8.58am this morning (expected time was 9am).  Su and I helped push the 840kg packs of dogfood from the inside of her house to the door.  There was another 60kg of dogfood in my little Kelisa (from Adelyn, Jing Lu and Amy Lim).  Jeen’s three helpers, Dol (the driver), Anil (a Maths [...]

Meiji’s rescued dogs

This afternoon, Meiji brought two rescued dogs for treatment at our panel vet, all the way from Raub.

These are WongWong and FaiFai.  Both appear to have skin problems.  This is WongWong.  She is female, and was picked up from the roadside. This is FaiFai.  We are quite sure FaiFai is one of our [...]

50 vaccines for Meiji

We have pledged to help Meiji’s sanctuary in whatever ways we can.  Yesterday, Meiji asked for 50 vaccines for the new puppies she had just rescued.

We are pleased to sponsor the 50 vaccines.  In any sanctuary, vaccination is very important to prevent the spread of diseases.

Meiji came down today, to collect Cherry Eye [...]

Meiji’s S.O.S for Ah Hak

Meiji’s S.O.S this morning really made me worried.  I thought it was one of the LLLP dogs that was seriously ill.  Meiji had described to me on the phone that the dog’s mouth was open and she seemed critical.

Right after work, I rushed over to our meeting point for Meiji (the petrol station opposite Metropolitan [...]

Updates from Meiji

I received a missed call from Meiji this morning and it gave me a fright.  I thought it was bad news.  When I called back, I was very relieved to hear that all the spayed-neutered dogs are doing well.

Phew!!

However, Kwai Chee is sick.  She is down with fever and diarrhoea.

Poor [...]

Let’s help Meiji

We paid a visit to Meiji’s sanctuary in December 2009,and met up with this remarkable 8-preceptor (someone who practises frugality in life, by observing the 8 precepts) who has a deep passion for animals.  At that time, Meiji was looking after 80 dogs in her sanctuary, rescued through the last 10 years where she [...]

Spay-Neuter in Kampung Chamang

We spent the whole day at the cemetery today…and did something useful for worthy humans and worthy dogs.

Today was our spay-neuter campaign for Kwai Chee’s and Meiji’s dogs up in Kampung Chamang (halfway between Bentong and Raub).

We left at 8.30am and met up at PAWS to wait for the vets.

While waiting, Ainey and I [...]
