Well said Jasmine Ong. This poor lady Kah Yein is already melting her ownself doing so much for these innocent souls and also helping rescuers to ease their burden to an extend.

How can some selfish rescuers be so wicked to use the strays name and collect money for themselves? They are jeorpadizing other genuine rescuers chance of getting help.

If you are rescuing in the hope of getting name and fame, let it be so. But be truthful and you will be respected for that attitude. Its not wrong in appealing for help but do not be selfish and cheat.

To all those out there who rescues animals, please do so with your conscience because you are dealing with public funds and trust. If you really love animals, you would NEVER think of cheating at the expense of their welfare. These street animals are already in a pathetic state as they are. Please do not compound their problems and the genuine caregivers who give so much of themselves to these causes. Please have a heart and conscience! In fact, if you really love animals, you will try to safeguard whatever there is in the coffer and offer to subsidise whatever you can afford! Please be a good role model for your own soul, at the very least. Even if nobody knows or finds out - YOU KNOW AND REMEMBER - GOD KNOWS AND SEES EVERYTHING!

Who is cheating who and who got cheated?

Let me start with the person who made multiple claims with false information. Can I safely said this is not the 1st case? Surely it's not going to be the last either.

Each and everyone of us make mistakes and it's not wrong to make mistakes. Giving false information is not mistake. Mistakes are made without intention but giving false information has intention. Making mistakes with intention is cheating. This person who has made so many claims in the last 3-4 months, is this person that stupid to think that he/she can get away with it? You can get away once or twice, surely you must know if you keep doing that you will be caught 1 day. The animal rescue circuit is not a very big one and all of them communicate with each other at one time or the other. To think that you can get away with it, you are really that stupid. So wise up and take the straight road. As Lim MFA said, at the end you will pay for more then what you get. Keep doing that and you will not find the rainbow bridge at the end of your journey but instead a hell's gate awaiting. Go ahead and come up with another scam. You might get away for now but HE will make you pay for HE is watching us all the time.

There are so many animal rescue group out there today and all if not most, are funded by the general public. Many have Facebook and blogs to appeal for funds in order to carry out their work. Are you guys living up to the public expectation? Are you guys doing what you should be doing? How many of you actually make it accountable for the public to read and see where all those money went to? This person who made claims from the other two organization as well as from Animalcare, did these two take enough care to make sure that this person doesn't make another claim from others? Did you guys ask for the original receipt? It is obvious that you don't. Otherwise how could this person make a claim from Animalcare? I wonder how do you account for it at the financial year end? Or is it accounting is not necessary in your organization? So if you are taking money from the public and not making sure that it is going to the animal welfare rightfully, then you are as good or as bad as this person. The public believes that you are doing the right thing and in turn you believe this person is doing the right thing but in actual fact not. So now you tell me, who is cheating who and who got cheated?

Dr. Chan has invited all of you who gives out funds to help those animals, to work together. So what are you waiting for? Go work together and prevent as many cheating case as possible and help those really deserving cases and stop me from asking who is cheating who and who got cheated and before all the trust from the public are eroded away.

Hi Maneki

I am currently facing similar issue with my male kitten (8 months old). He will keep trying to climb out of my house. I raised him & another female kitten (now also 8 months) from young (about 4-6 weeks old)in a cage place at car porch area. I will let them out twice daily. The female kitten hardly climb out.

I think the male kitten is just curious & wanting to explore wider area. The problem is the road in front of my house is not safe for any cats. If I let him roam outside, I am sure eventually he will get knock by a car. As I think he is not street smart to keep a look out for cars. At the same time he will cut a pitiful face whenever I refrained him from climbing the fence or gate.

I am actually facing this dilemma.

I empathise so much with Dawn, but I also appreciate her wisdom in recognising that some cats really are happier outside in their communities. They obviously value their freedom more highly than security, much as it might pain us to let them go. I wish Dawn and Fafah all the best...
