We require you to reveal your FULL NAME when you apply for any form of assistance.

What we provide:
A. Subsidy for Neutering and Medical Treatment
Neutering
1. If you have many street animals, you are encouraged to use the services of Klinik Kembiri (03-40243446) as it provides the most affordable rates. You may apply for a subsidy from us. Please refer to (3) below.
2. If Klinik Kembiri is too far for you, please source for a vet for geographical convenience (animals get stressed when travelling) and also one whom you are comfortable working with. If you need financial assistance with the bill, you may apply for a subsidy from us.
3. Our maximum subsidy for (1) and (2) is as follows:
Male cat – RM80
Female cat – RM100
Male dog – RM100
Female dog – RM120
If your vet’s rates are lower than the above, we will subsidise you based on the lower one.
4. How to apply for a subsidy:
a.Email us http://myanimalcare.org/contact/ with a jpeg photograph of your animal and a short write-up about the animal.
2. Once the subsidy is approved, choose a vet of your choice and get the procedure done by your vet.
3. After the procedure is done, pay the vet and get an itemised receipt. Please ensure that all items are legible on the receipt. We cannot subsidise if we cannot read what is on the receipt.
4. Email another photo of the animal after the procedure when you post the original receipt and the duly filled subsidy form* to the given address.
5. All forms must reach me no later than 2 weeks from the date on the receipt.
*The Subsidy Forms are available for download here.
Every application will be considered on a case by case basis and depends on fund availability. We retain sole discretion to decide whether or not to provide the subsidy (without need to provide reasons for such decision).
Medical Treatment
1. Please source for a vet to attend to your animal. You may apply for a subsidy from us.
2. In general, the maximum subsidy is 50% of the cost or RM500, whichever is lower.
3. Kindly inform us if you also apply for financial assistance from other organisations. In such cases, please refer to the Multiple Fund Policy below:
Multiple Fund Policy
1) Joint Funding Structure (determined by total vet bill)a. Below RM750 – only from one fund, subject to a maximum of 50%.b. From RM750 to RM1500 – up to two funds, subject to a maximum total joint subsidy of 60%.
c. Above RM1500 – up to three funds, subject to a maximum total joint subsidy of 60% or RM1500, whichever is lower.2) The subsidy contributed by each fund is limited to a maximum of RM500, and the total joint subsidy provided will not exceed the maximum percentage allocated for that tier.
3) It is up to the applicant to apply to multiple funds, if deemed necessary. In the event that only one fund is subsidizing the case, the standard 50% or maximum of RM500 would apply.
4) The participation of multiple funds and final joint subsidy percentage allocated are solely at the discretion of the funds involved.
All forms must be filled up accurately, truthfully and completely.
Incomplete forms will not be entertained.
If you are applying to other organisations, please state so in the form and provide the names of the organisations. Failure to disclose this amounts to dishonesty.
4. This subsidy is dependent on fund availability and remains at our sole discretion. We retain sole discretion to decide whether or not to provide the subsidy (without need to provide reasons for such decision).
5. We subsidise RM20 per vaccination (inclusive of deworming), only for first-year vaccinations. If your vet’s rates is lower, we will subsidise the lower one.
6. How to apply for a subsidy:
a. Write to us http://myanimalcare.org/contact/ with a photograph of the animal and a write-up about its condition and what medical help is required/has been done.
b. For claims, please post the original receipt and the subsidy form* duly filled; and a photo and an updated write-up about the condition of the animal are required by email: http://myanimalcare.org/contact/. In short, we need BEFORE-AFTER photos and write-up.
c. The receipt or bill must be itemised, ie. show a complete breakdown of treatment rendered.

All sponsorship/subsidy is dependent on fund availability and remains at our sole discretion.
NEUTERING & MEDICAL TREATMENT:
IMPORTANT: Please be informed that there are inherent risks in any surgical procedure and therefore, infections, sickness or even death, may occur despite the good faith of the clinic involved.
Pre-Surgery Stage
1. Ensure that the animal is healthy, to the best of your knowledge.
2. Fast the animal for 8 hours BEFORE you bring the animal to the clinic.
3. All neutering procedures should precede with an appointment as some vets may not entertain walk-ins.
Surgery Day
4. Bring the animal to the clinic by the time as agreed.
5. Be present while the vet examines your animal. The vet may require information about the animal which is crucial to the prescription of the treatment.
6. Ensure that any animal found to be less than 4 months old by the vet is NOT neutered unless there are extenuating circumstances, which would depend on the advice of the vet.
7. Ensure that any female animal found to be pregnant by the vet is NOT spayed. If you choose to do it, you may NOT apply for any subsidy from us.
8. All spayed return-to-colony female animals are strongly encouraged to have their ears tipped/notched – this is to indicate that the animal is a community animal who has been spayed. It will also prevent the animal from being opened up again in future. Some owners are known to have their pets’ ear notched as well in case their pets get lost in future and are rescued by others. For males, it remains an option, as the vet can easily tell if a male animal has been neutered. For females, the absence of the uterus cannot be detected and the incision line often cannot be seen clearly. Hence, ear-notching is highly encouraged.
9. Please abide by the advice and instructions of the vet to ensure the wellbeing of the animal.
10. Pick up the animal from the clinic after the surgery by the time as agreed. WE DO NOT SUBSIDISE BOARDING for neutering unless complications arise, as per the discretion of the vet. In the event that the rescuer cannot pick up the animal, the rescuer has to bear the boarding charges in full.
Post-Surgery Stage
11. After being neutered, all female animals are to be kept under shelter for at least three days and males for at least one day or until they are fully recovered, or as advised by the vet, before releasing them.
12. After you have collected your animal(s), we would appreciate an email with photos to inform us how the animal is faring. Any further updates from you is highly appreciated as we too are concerned about the animal’s condition/progress.
13. In cases of complications, please bring the animal back to the vet for further consultation or treatment.
Boarding
14. AnimalCare does not subsidise boarding for neutering unless complications arise. For medical cases, we do not subsidise boarding if the animal’s injury or illness does not warrant hospitalization.
15. The cost of boarding for surgery cases is subsidised but ONLY for the duration as per required, as determined by the vet. Extra boarding is not encouraged.
REASON 1: So that your animal will not be exposed to diseases, if any, in the clinic environment.
REASON 2: Your animal, once declared fit to be discharged, is better off being fostered by you at home. Many clinics do not have 24 hours monitoring.
REASON 3: The boarding space at the clinic is meant for sick animals. We should be considerate and not deprive a sick animal of the needed boarding.
If you are not able to foster the animal yourself, please make the necessary arrangements with a fosterer.
16. If boarding is required for the rescuer’s personal reasons, it will be borne entirely by the rescuer, at the clinic’s normal rates.
For Emergencies
17. Should there be any emergency after office hours, please take your animal to Gasing Hospital (03-77823553 – call-back of vet) or the Animal Medical Centre (03-40426742 – 24 hrs). Our subsidy policies apply.
Other Conditions (for all cases)
18. AnimalCare’s sponsorship is only given to street animals and rescued animals, not home pets.
19. AnimalCare reserves the right to reject requests which do not qualify for sponsorship or subsidy as per our sole discretion.
20. The % subsidy may vary from time to time depending on fund availability.
21. As we are only fund providers and rescuers use their own vets, AnimalCare shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever should anything untoward happen to the animal that is brought in for the surgical procedure. Please choose your vets based on recommendation and experience.
22. In the event of failure to abide by any of these terms and conditions, AnimalCare reserves the right not to sponsor/subsidise the cost of the medical procedure.
E-rehoming services
AnimalCare will publicise your rescued animal for adoption in the blog. You are requested to send us a write-up about the animal, provide a photograph and your FULL NAME and contact details: http://myanimalcare.org/contact/. The photographs and your write-up will be published verbatim with your full name and contact details. AnimalCare does not guarantee a successful adoption as this depends on the response of the readers. AnimalCare is not able to vet the potential adopters for you. That responsibility lies with you.
