Another miracle and a case of “a stitch in time saves nine”!
I’ve just received a text message from Wani’s friend, Rena, that she has successfully retrieved Goldie from the SPCA and Goldie is on the way home now!
PHEW!!!
She says Goldie had lost a lot of weight, but never mind, she is ALIVE!
My personal thanks again, to Dr Lim of the SPCA, for making the all-important phonecalls yesterday that saved Goldie’s life.
This reminds me of Rukmini Devi Arundale’s quote: Animals cannot speak, but can you and I not speak for them and represent them? Let us all feel their silent cry of agony and let us all help that cry to be heard in the world.
We need to speak for them, and we need to guided by what we believe is right – integrity, compassion, wisdom, and…..acting fast!
