Virgin Coconut Soap and Toothpaste – for fundraising

Updates on 6th November, at 10.10pm: We’ve sold out on the soap (but hope to get stock soon – please hang on) and we have 19 tubes of toothpaste left. Thank you very much for your support!

Updates on 6th November, at 4.40pm: Thanks to your fantastic support, we are now down to 2 bars of soap and 33 tubes of toothpaste. Thank you so much. We are so happy that many of you are willing to switch from using shower gel to soap. And also to switch to a product that is not tested on animals. We will definitely have more stock coming in the next few weeks. Just have to wait a bit.

The original post:

Orifera has donated 100 pieces of Virgin Coconut Soap and 100 tubes of Virgin Coconut Oil Toothpaste to us for fundraising. We wish to thank them very much for their very kind and generous gesture to help the animals who come through us.

The Soap is RM5 (100g) and the Toothpaste is RM15 (150g), both by donation.

These are made from natural products and most importantly, not tested on animals.

We would appreciate very much if you’ll support us by purchasing these products. The soap is excellent for all purposes (I use this soap for body, hand, face and hair) and the toothpaste has a fresh minty taste and is suitable for sensitive teeth (I use it too!).

Postage charges:

For purchases below RM50: RM6
For purchases RM50 and above: FREE (we absorb, if within Peninsular Malaysia)

Please write to to enquire on stock availability first. Then, please bank in payment and follow-up with an email and your postal address.

These products will also be available (by donation) at our Kathina booth on 3rd – 4th November (this Saturday and Sunday) at the Subang Jaya Buddhist Association.

Product information from the manufacturer:

Virgin Coconut Oil has about 45 to 55 % lauric acid and 7% of caprylic acid. These are medium chain fatty acids which has nutraceutical effects ie they are able to eliminate virus, bacteria, parasites and fungus. Apart from this, Virgin Coconut Oil prevents trans-epidermal water loss (TEFL). It helps to retain the water moisture on the skin.

If you are a premium product user, why not switch to this brand and try it out (the price is comparable to most premium brands)? Or, if you have been using chemical products before, think about how chemicals may cause long-term side effects on our health. But again, most importantly for us, these products are NOT tested on animals. That matters a lot.

Tabs: I was a former stray too, but now I have a home and I am spayed.

Well, I don’t use toothpaste and soap, but you do. And each time you use these, you are helping and supporting my furry friends on the streets. And also helping LOTS of little animals who would otherwise die in the laboratories. Poor little things, right?

Thank you!

The toothpaste taste like coconut, creamy & sweet. And most important is that, unlike other conventional toothpaste, my sensitive gums not irritated by it. The soap is gentle and moisturising. I didn’t even need to put skin cream after using the soap. Both are so good and as of today, I’m switching to this product!

Tabs to Aunty Connie: Thank you, Aunty Connie!! Mum says she is adding some virgin coconut oil into our food too. Just a few drops, she said, ‘coz she said our noses are so sharp!

I bought the soap at your Kathina booth and have tried it. Love it lots! It’s not drying at all, unlike normal soaps. No more shower gels for me. I like this soap. I don’t have to throw away plastic bottles anymore.
