Medical subsidy for Black and Ponny, mother-and-child from the construction site (Susan Bell’s)

We have subsidised RM80 for the vaccination and deworming of Black and Ponny, both have been rehomed to an animal sanctuary.  RM40 is from our Medical Fund and RM40 from Maria O-Connell.

Susan Bell and Margie Tan feed many dogs at the construction site. There is an urgency to rehome them as they cannot stay for long at this site once the building is up. If you would like to adopt any, please contact Susan by email (below).

Thank you.

Hi Dr, Chan ,

Thank you for the subsidy of RM100 for Girly, which I received into my bank account.

Attached are photos of Black and Ponny. Black is the mother of Ponny (short tail) and together with Samson they have been successfully removed from the construction site and into safer animal sanctuaries.

Margie and I are in the process of trying to get another group of four out hopefully in the next 2 weeks.

It’s slow, steady and tiring, sometimes funny and sometimes very happy  journey that we’re on with these dogs. Just yesterday we were trying to secure Hazel, who is a very cautious and frightened dog who gets bullied by all the other dogs.

I brought a cage and 2 juicy chicken drumstick legs to entice her into the cage. After cajoling her for almost 20 minutes, with no luck we were standing around pondering our next move when Napoleon, the greedy guts, walked up behind me and cooly took the chicken leg out of my hand and ran off with it!   It was such a funny sight.

We gave up, and tried again today and we managed to get hold of Hazel and sent her to be spayed and vaccinated.

Thank you and regards
Susan
