Medical subsidy for Thong-c, a sporo cat (Dr Veeranoot Nissapatorn’s)

We have subsidised RM211.50 for Thong-c’s treatment. This sponsorship comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM111.50) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).

Dr Veeranoot has redonated the entire sum to our Medical Fund and we thank her very much for it.

We also hope Thong-c gets well soon.

Thong-c…a SPORO cat for medical subsidy

Dear Sis Chan,

Thong-c, a female-spayed cat, was rescued in May, 2013.  She had a typical sign of non-healing and blood oozing wounds on her right ear, both hind limbs and paw. At the hospital, her blood stained smear was microscopically examined with a confirmed diagnosis of sporotrichosis. The vet then gave her antibiotic and warded her for a night since Thong-c would be transferred to another clinic for more treatment the following day. At the clinic, Thong-c was then given antifungal drug for her medical problem.

After more than 10 days being warded in the clinic, Thong-c wounds showed signs of improvement. I took Thong-c back to my place on the 31st May, 2013. She has since continued both the specific treatment and supportive care for at least another 2 months. Thong-c adjusted herself well and was very cooperative especially at the time of medication and feeding. Due to her infectious condition, some precautions need to be taken to prevent spreading to other felines in my place.

Any amount for this medical subsidy from AnimalCare Society will be donated to the medical fund.

Thank you for the opportunity and hope you can kindly consider this request.

Sukhi Hotu!
