Dear Dr. Chan,

Good day. My friend, Olivia and I would like to apply for the vaccination and neutering subsidy for a stray cat which we just neutered and vaccinated last Saturday, 22nd November.

Whiskey is one of the male stray cats in our condo. He’s about 2+ years old. We feed him regularly especially Olivia, who spends a lot of time with the strays in our condo. Sadly, some residents have been complaining about the strays and one resident even scolded Olivia for feeding them. We then decided to work on a mission to neuter and spay the stray cats here. There are about 4 of them-2 males (Whiskey is one of them) and 2 female (one of them just given birth to a litter of kittens).

We caught Whiskey using my cage last Friday night, 21st November. I kept him at my place for a night. The next day, Saturday, 22nd November, we brought him to my regular vet to be vaccinated and neutered. It was all done on the same day. Whiskey continued staying at the vet to recuperate until Tuesday evening, 25th November. We released him back in our condo on the same night.

Olivia wishes she could keep Whiskey. However, she’s renting a room and the owner doesn’t allow pets. Olivia’s plan is to get her own place and then adopt Whiskey some time mid next year.

Please find attached pre and post-op photos of Whiskey, photos of receipt and vaccine sticker on card for your reference. I shall post the forms and original receipt to you this weekend.

We hope our application will be permitted.

Thank you.
