Donors: In memory of Dana, anonymous donors, donors from Boost, Ahmad Amir Kamil, Avant Pet Sdn Bhd, Bunny’s Place & Ginger’s Catio, Jasmine Ee, Khoo Ming-Yi, Kok Khee Wee, Kwan Pei Kuan, NandaLeonie Hong Siew Lan, Ngiow Siet Sun, SharonLin Ooi, Tan Lai Fun, Tan Tay Thye, Thong Nook Lin, Wan Tai Seng, Wong Chin Kuan, AnimalCare donors (reserve fund).

The food:

Vitalplus dog kibble 18kg (Lamb) – 6 packs

Alps Nourish dog kibble 15kg (Lamb) – 4 packs

Note: It was supposed to be more than this, but the company has a new warehouse management system, so I could not add on on time and the delivery was extraordinarily fast this time! We will re-order the next round. Ms Ong has already bought some of her own kibble for the dogs since it’s now the rainy season; the dogs will eat more due to the colder weather and also the road into the shelter will be more muddy and harder to access. We have also advised Ms Ong to mix our kibble with hers so that her dogs are used to both.

We thank Avant Pet for the free and very quick delivery.

Ms Ong sent a voicemail to me to thank all donors for this. She expresses her utmost gratitude.

Survivor Shelter is home to 50 rescued dogs. It is founded by Ms Ong Siew Hiang and there is a worker looking after all the dogs 24 hours a day. Ms Ong sells burgers daily from late afternoon through the night until early morning at a food court to fund her shelter. Her dogs are given veterinary treatment when they fall sick. Ms Ong engages a pet taxi service to take her dogs to the vet whenever she is unable to do so.
