Survivor Shelter was founded by Ms Ong Siew Hiang for her rescued dogs. It is run by a reliable worker who is there permanently. Ms Ong sells burgers to earn enough to sustain her shelter. There are currently 49 dogs, mostly elderly ones (about 11 years old). One dog just passed away due to kidney failure despite the vet’s best efforts. Another dog (the one with the liver disease (please refer to previous post)) is currently under treatment at the vet’s. Ms Ong recently rescued another dog with a large wound and had the dog treated too. This dog is now being fostered by a friend (photos below). At her workplace, Ms Ong is also looking after a mother-cat who had just delivered a litter of 5 kittens (photo below). She will get the mother-cat neutered after breastfeeding is completed. There are many photos below, including those of the cat family and the newly-rescued dog.
Ms Ong went to her shelter recently and her dogs were all very happy to see her. Please see photos below.
