Akira opens one eye!

While Kai is definitely the eldest as I watched them being born one by one, Akira is the first to open…one eye!

Even last time, 17 years ago, it was Pole (female) who first opened her eyes, but that was 10 days after being rescued.

Today the kittens just hit 7 days old and Akira is already opening one eye. That’s fast!

Well, to be accurate, they were just 6.5 days old this morning!

I read that kittens can take any time between 2-16 days to open their eyes. But from my own experience, the fastest was 10 days. Akira holds our home record now!
