Cow Mau’s bacteria test results

The vet texted to let me know Cow Mau’s eye bacteria test results.

He has two types of bacteria, ie. staphylococcus spp (gram-positive) and proteus spp (gram-negative). So, the medication given last week was spot-on as Doxycycline will take care of the gram-positive bacteria while the Gentamycin eye ointment will take care of the gram-negative bacteria.

No wonder the medicine was so effective and Cow Mau’s eyes got better in one day!

Now, we just have to continue with the Gentamycin for a total of 7 days and the Doxy for a total of 14 days.

Cow Mau’s pawing also has decreased a lot.
