A new protocol for Tabs and Minnie’s 2nd Phantom of the Opera saga

I texted the vet yesterday as I was concerned about Tabs’ high urea.

So, after some discussion, we have a new treatment protocol for her now.

It’s 150ml daily subcut fluids for 3 weeks foll0wed by a check-up.

Also, I can give her the remaining Azodyl from Indy and/or double up her Renal-Combi.

Meanwhile, I’m quite surprised that the presence of Gerald and Misty yesterday did not seem to cause too much stress for Tabs. She didn’t go hide upstairs. She only stayed up on the table and on the piano.

But Minnie is quite a challenge. We still have not managed to get her back to the Catio. She is still somewhere inside the house. We’ve exhausted all efforts including just leaving the door to the Catio wide open (thereby inviting the Monsters into the house). This reminds me of her Phantom of the Opera stunt in 2021 where she remained stuck in our attic for five whole days.

This is the 2021 story: https://myanimalcare.org/2021/02/01/minnies-5-day-phantom-of-the-opera-saga/

I don’t think it’s so bad this round…I hope.

Gerald and Misty, in the meantime, seems so much easier to handle than Minnie. Well, except for Gerald’s incessant whining. But at least they are not doing any Phantom of the Opera activity.
