Well, Gerald settled in instantly, of course! Even the incessant whining has decreased a lot now, to almost none or only when he is hungry, which is totally reasonable.
The Blondies love him and he’s made himself very at home.
Misty, on the other hand, started by intimidating the Blondies, which isn’t surprising as it is probably a defence mechanism at work. But even that has reduced a lot now.
I did not think it would be so easy for them to settle in, but it seems that way.
I also thought that Tabs would be so stressed by the presence of someone new, but my fears were quite unfounded. She even asked to go into Bunny’s Place even though Gerald and Misty are there.
So, the task has been easier than I expected. But of course I expected a lot worse! Always be prepared for the worst so that anything less is a bonus!
This morning…
Misty was up on the platform and at the spot where she made her grand escape….
Looks like Tony did a fantastic job of plugging the escape route.
Don’t go out, Misty. It’s just too dangerous outside.
If ever Misty crosses over to Ginger’s Catio and gets onto their highest platform, she would still be able to escape because the anti-climb there has the same hole size as the one she escaped through. And no matter how much she eats, her head size is going to remain the same because Misty is already an adult.
I don’t really know how old Misty is, actually.
The Blondies didn’t want Coco&Joe’s or Cubgrub this morning, so everyone got cut-up raw chicken breast meat. I know it’s not a balanced meal but at least they get some raw nutrients. Later, I gave them some kibble.

Even though Gerald had eaten much earlier, he didn’t want to be left out.
It’s amazing that Misty has learnt to use the litter box. I’ll bet she doesn’t even know what a litter box is before this, being a feral cat.
So, everyone had some.
Samantha has taken over Misty basket and claimed it to be hers.
Well, Misty has also taken over another basket in the room as well as the bed!
I hope everything works out in Bunny’s Place with the addition of Gerald and Misty and yes, I’m so lucky, I have found a godmother for them too. My grateful thanks to my dear friend!
