Thank you very much (April 2024 donors)

We are happy that in this month, there have been quite a few new applicants. We also guided a few young people to start their own One-Street CNRM.

I recently read an article about the current affairs in our country with regard to the human domain, of course. The author said something very wise. He opined that there is a way to determine if you are on the “right” or “wrong” side in the human sphere. If you are on the side of “the poor, the weak and the bullied”, you can be sure that you are definitely on the “right” side.

It made me think of what we do in helping street animals. Street animals definitely qualify as being “the weak and the bullied” in any community. “Poor” goes without saying because street animals live in our concrete human-created community and they definitely do not have any financial resources to purchase anything for themselves! So I will just go for “weak and bullied” – we can do something about this. If they are weak, we protect them. If they are bullied, we defend and protect them. Sometimes, protecting them can mean eating humble pie and not going head-on with the haters because as we all know, the council by-laws aren’t on our side.

So, let’s remember that protecting the weak and bullied always puts us on the right side! Stay on this side, folks.

There is an ancient Greek saying that says: A society grows great when old <people> plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit. We are planting trees now, doing CNRM and encouraging young people to do it too. The shade we shall never sit in will be the day when CNRM is so widespread that it is the norm rather than the exception. Let’s us “old people” lay that foundation now and lead the way.

Thank you very much for supporting CNRM!
